Lizard Pics

Got some more Lizardmen pictures from warseer. Steg sprue's I believe; the steg without paint and some painted Temple Guard. If you look to the left of the painted Kroxigor you can see a good pic of the new razordon model. Looks pretty mean.

Episode 007 : Local Tournament Coverage

Episode 7 : Local Tournament Coverage

Show Notes:

  • Sponsorship : None
  • Listener E-mail : None
  • News/Rumors : Ogre Kingdoms Late 2009
  • Feature : Local Tournament Coverage
What do I say; shows late again. My computer I was doing the podcast really did bite it this time. I've junked it and dropped some money on a new laptop for the show so I shouldn't have PC problems from here out at least. In fact I used the new laptop to record this episode. It's an Acer Aspire One netbook. Very small and protable; I went with this for ease of transport next year when I head to Adepticon and Midwest Rampage. Anyway this episode is basically a test run of the new PC and it'll give you an idea of what I'll try to get when I do the tourney coverage from the GT's next spring.

Please if you enjoy the show leave comments; if you have I-Tunes please leave I-Tunes Reviews. Any questions or comments e-mail us at waaagh.cast.jf@gmail.com you cannot currently leave voicemails via Skype as I have not gotten it set up on the new laptop yet.

The Times They Are A Changing...

Hello all,
So episodes late again. :) Oh well. I've come to accept something here and that is I see the podcast as an extension of the hobby. A hobby that we as hobbyists relentlessly spend all our money on without recompense to ourselves.

As such I will no longer be asking for sponsorships of $10.00 for the show. If you'd like to sponsor an episode just donate any amount of money you'd like. Honestly $.25 cents if you want would work. If you would like to donate your welcome too and I'll accept those donations and funnel the money back into the show.

I am also biting down and saying that the chances of me honestly getting an episode out every two weeks as planned is squashed. I'd like to be able to do such; however family comes first and lately that (and a busted crappy computer) has been slowing/stopping me from completing this task.

I will continue to update the blog and photo section as often as I can get to it; but I wanted my listeners to be aware of whats going on with the PodCast. I'll still do it; but I guess what I'm saying is don't count on a schedule as I obviously cannot stick to one. I do have a new episode done and will be editing it and posting it tonight. It's some tourney coverage from a local 1750 so stay tuned for that.

Gotta go; thanks for listening!

Episode 6 : Lizardmen Review

Show notes:
  • Sponsorship : Chuck J.
  • Listener E-mail : Ken Crouch, David Mudiman, Adan Russell
  • News/Rumors : New GW Releases, Army Bags, Dice, Template, Lizardmen model and book rumors.
  • Feature : Lizardmen Review
Profuse apologies for the tardiness of posting a new show. My computer crashed as I said in the post yesterday and I finally got my a laptop to use temporarely. As such Skype is not running and I cannot attest to the quality of the audio although I don't think I've ever been able to do that! This episode was sponsored; hooray! Also had a couple listener e-mails and plenty of news/rumors as well. I have a friend of the show join me to discuss Lizardmens current army book and he will be back in February/March to discuss them again when the new book comes out. I am also looking for some people who have Skype and would like to do army reviews with me to e-mail me and let me know. All you need is Skype and a microphone on your internet capable computer and I'll take care of the rest! Thanks for listening and enjoy the show.

Please if you enjoy the show leave comments; if you have I-Tunes please leave I-Tunes Reviews. Any questions or comments e-mail us at waaagh.cast.jf@gmail.com you cannot currently leave voicemails via Skype as the main computer I do the show on that is usually running Skype on 24/7 has crashed and so not functioning at the moment.

NOTE! Added after the show I have 2 pics of what is presumed to be the cover art and 2 pics of the new plastic stegadon model! Check the photo section here!!!

Late... Very late...

Profuse apologies! It is now 1 week past the date when my next episode was due and I still haven't even gotten around to recording it. The computer I use to record everything had an uber fail and crashed hard. It needs replaced in a bad way and I don't currently have the money to do it. That said I have been in the process of setting up a temporary computer to use until I get the other fixed so for those of you who want to know I should have an episode up by this friday and hopefully sooner than that! Again I just wanted to apologize and say thank you to everyone who listens!

Episode 5 : Wood Elf Review

Show notes:
  • Sponsorship : None (So Sad)
  • Listener E-mail : A couple of supportive e-mails. Yay! :)
  • Feature : Wood Elf Review
  • News/Rumors : Same old points on Lizards; possible skaven?
So the show is 4 days late; sorry. I seem to be having more trouble getting these recorded on time; and even beyond that I'm recording them late at night when my self control for cursing is lessened. Anyway a friend of mine Jeff stops by to give us a review of Wood Elfs. We discuss it along with enough other things that this ends up clocking in as the longest episode for the podcast yet.

Please if you enjoy the show leave comments; if you have I-Tunes please leave I-Tunes Reviews. Any questions, comments, criticisms e-mail us at waaagh.cast.jf@gmail.com or you can leave us voice mails from Skype at username WaaaghCast. Thanks for listening!

Episode 4 : Dwarf Review

Show notes:
  • News/Rumors : There is no news due to the late episode.
  • Sponsorship : Ian Wegert
  • Listener E-mail : None; So Sad...
  • Feature : Dwarf Review
Apologies for the extreme lateness of the show. Due to this fact I did not report news this episode; I also have no listener e-mail so come on people; certainly somebody has issues with something I've said! Positive or negative send me feedback; leave me voice mails; this show would be better with public participation! In my humble opinion at least.

Please if you enjoy the show leave comments; if you have I-Tunes please leave I-Tunes Reviews. Any questions or comments e-mail us at waaagh.cast.jf@gmail.com or you can leave us voice mails from Skype at username WaaaghCast. Thanks for listening!

Day Late; Dollar Short

So the next episode isn't up yet. I had intended it to be live coverage from a small local tournament just to see how my equipment performed outside of the basement and on the laptop instead of my nice PC in my basement.

Well... It didn't perform at all so there is no episode and I'm now two days off of my scheduled publish date. I apologize and will work extremely hard to get someone in to do an army review of a book (yet to be determined) in the next 2-3 days.

Just remember; better late than never.

A Small Update

Hi;
I've updated the photo gallery. What I've done is seperated the categories between non specific pictures and given the new Mortal Chaos it's own page so all the photo's are collected in one spot. I've also added the latest photo's like those of the new special characters; plastic daemon prince; warhounds, etc....

I've also added a game ticker on the bottom right; not that people will care much, but it's going to keep a running track of games I've played starting a day ago with a draw against Lizardmen.

As always thanks for your time!

Episode 2 : Orcs & Goblins Army Review

Show notes:
This episode I am joined by my good friend Chuck Jiardina. News of GW's up in pricing soon to go over in the news and rumors as well as a note on upcoming Black Library releases. After that Chuck and I review the 7th edition Orcs & Goblins Army Book and give what advice we can to fellow greenskin generals. There are a large number of microphone thumps and bumps in this episode. A LOT! Like I said before I'm learning so stay with me; I think the audio quality of this episode is better than that 1st one and as I learn it'll just get better. Hope you enjoy!

Please if you enjoy the show please leave I-Tunes Reviews as this helps me get moved up the list and become easier to locate and garner more listeners!

-It should be noted that after recording I realized I made an incorrect statement here when discussing the savage orc boar boy'z (actually I made the statement twice). I stated that with the banner of butchery a unit of 5 boar boyz would get 30 attacks. This is incorrect as the banner of butchery only affects models and not mounts resulting in only 25 attacks.

Cast : Host Bios

Joe Flesch : The host of the show. Married and the father of two children, I've been playing Games Workshop games since I was 13 years old which gives me plenty of history with the hobby. Although I've only been into Fantasy since about 2006, I love it the most of all the GW games!

I've played nearly all of the Specialist Games line ; but if I was to narrow down what I play the most it'd be Fantasy, Blood Bowl and Warhammer Quest. I started this site after listening to Podhammer; as an extension of my hobby that I don't get to play as often due to having two children. I hope you enjoy the show!

Chuck Jiardina : The co-host. Residing in Bloomington, Illinois; and married with a son. I have helped Joe with The Waaaghcast since nearly the beginning and appreciate how much time an effort running something like this takes.

I play several games including Warhammer Fantasy 4th-7th edition; I used to tinker with Blood Bowl, Warhammer 40k, Hero Quest, and Battle Master. I started with Fanatsy in 8th grade. I played O&G for 10 years (10,000+ points), painted my fathers Empire and Lizardmen while living at home (10,000+ points) and then converted to Vampire Counts in 2007 and now have over 7,000+ points.
